Faces of Love
In April 2016, Mehr Ensemble will complete an Australian tour performing two new suites of music that explore the theme of love from two aspects. The first part explore's love's darker dimension, and the pieces in this suite include traditional instruments such as Setar, Ney and Bamtar.
In the second half of
the concert Mehr will perform a set of sufi-inspired music exploring the lighter aspect of love and featuring traditional sufi instruments such as Tanbour and Daf. Both suites draw inspiration from classical and modern Persian love poetry

Love and Devotion
